About Us

The Department of Anesthesiology is comprised of over 50 highly skilled attending anesthesiologists dedicated to providing the highest quality of care to all of our patients.

While every member of our faculty has received extensive training in all areas of anesthesiology, many of our staff members have additional expertise and training in providing anesthesia for specific types of surgery, such as cardiac, thoracic, vascular, neurological, obstetric, and pediatric surgery.

The Department of Anesthesiology at NewYork-Presbyterian/Weill Cornell has board-certified anesthesiologists on hand for every surgery. Every anesthesiologist at NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital has received extensive training in all areas of anesthesiology, and many staff members have additional expertise and training in providing anesthesia for specific types of surgery, as well as pain control during labor and delivery.
